Hello,
Looking for some tax advice on the following:
UK Citizen currently in Canada as a visitor. I have been here as a visitor since November 2014, with a short trip to the UK in July 2015.
I earn UK income, paid into my UK bank account. (Remote working, online)
I need to file my taxes in the UK. I've been told by CRA multiple times I don't have to do my Canadian taxes as I didn't earn any Canadian income and don't have a SIN.
I've spent more than 183 days in Canada, so as I understand it I am a Non-UK tax resident. Is this correct, or does it change as I don't have any other income but UK income?
If I am correct in thinking this, how do I go about doing my UK tax return? Just the normal Self Assessment?
Thank you in advance!
