UCI and File number

I tried logging in on CIC website and I could only use UCI number but it does not recognise the File number given. Has anybody experience this? Why one is working and the other not.

Both should work. Client ID is xxxx-xxxx (all numbers), whereas visa file number is Fxxxxxxxxx or Bxxxxxxxxx (F or B, followed by nine numbers). Try both sponsor and PA details along with the visa file number.

I did try both using mine and also tried using my partner's but the File number starting with "F" does not work . We could only access using UCI.
