Hello!

I have a quick question. I want to apply for a TRV with a valid study permit, and I have been waiting for PR approval for more than 6 months. What should I do? Do I wait till I get my PR approved first to get the PRTD instead? Or just go ahead and apply for the TRV? It says that they take up to 78 days to process the TRV!!!

I am also FSW_inland, waiting for 6 months now since AOR. I am really torn apart and don't know what to do, I didn't think that the PR application takes so long, and seeing applicants since 2019 is very depressing. Any yadvice?

If you are an inland applicant, you are eligible for BOWP. Are you not in Canada?

@legalfalcon Yes, I am in Canada. And I already have a status (study permit), but my multiple-entry visa has expired and I need to renew it to be able to travel. I was asking if it is better to wait till my PR is approved then get the PRTD instead of applying for the temporary resident visa on the passport.

Can I apply for BOWP now btw? I have a job offer and I want to take it before finishing my program (I am only waiting for the defense of my thesis to get the PGWP and be able to work full time).

PRTD is only for those who have a PR status and outside Canada. If you plan to travel and return to Canada, you can apply for a visa.
