TRV-pasport issued in Canada, country of issue?

I renewed my Indian passport from Canada

Now, In TRV application for it asks about country of issue under passport info.

And my passport only specifies place of issue, which is Toronto.


Should I answer this question"country of issue" as IND or CAN ?

It should be Canada, since that's where your passport was issued. There should be a previous question about nationality, and you can write "Indian" there.

I tried uploading it with canada, but it said your nationality and country of issue do not match, so i guess while it is issued by the indian embassy, it makes it issued in india.
