What I have is my bachelors degree in engineering and marksheets for all 8 semesters of engineering. I have contacted my college and they tell me that my mark sheets are the transcripts. I just wanted to know what I need to tell to my college that they send me in sealed envolope, only marksheets or some thing other than that.

Also my college and university are different. College is easy to approach and university office is not. So will transcripts from College do?

Official marksheet is transcript. You should get official trancript or get attachted from the department where you first received yur transcript (probably exam controlled divison). It may be at yur college or central university.

Normally you should have received a transcript with marks of all the 8 semester on that.

Thanks all for replies. I think now I understand that Transcript is the sheet with marks of all 8 semesters of my degree course.

Question that I am still wondering is- will the transcript in sealed envelope from college work as there is little or no chance of getting one from university. Has some one done that before? I understand that CIC instructions clearly indicated university and not college.

Seniors please help

it should be from the issuing body, as a degree issued by a University can't be attested by affiliated college but a department can do that. e.g engineering school of university can do.

In my case, although my college and university is different for Bachelor study, I can take photocopies of transcripts and degree certificates along with original to the central university exam controlled office and ask officers to attested them. Even officer sealed them with university stamp, if I provide them an envelope. There is no multiple copy of original/official transcripts and degree certificate.

But for my Master degree university, official transcripts are provided multiple time with sealed envelope and sent to preferred address. The Degree certificate is one time issue. So, it has to be notarized.

I don't how it works in other university.

If someone's marksheets are lost for last degree then the transcripts for the last degree from the university will help?or one should go for his duplicate marksheets from university?Need guidance for my cousin.
