Tracking PNP July 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

Hi everybody,

I'm starting a new thread for the people who have submitted their PR files to Nova Scotia in July 2012. I don't see many people who have applied for PR through PNP in the month of June or July.

Please share your timelines and experiences.

Below is my time line. I applied within Canada, BC.

Application received by the BC PNP office: April 3rd 2012
AOR: 18th April
Phone Interview: Employer and Employee both on 8th May 2012
BC BNP Approval received: 24th May 2012

PR File sent to Nova Scotia : 27th June 2012.
File received on : 3rd July 2012

Havn't heard from them so far. I used a Certified Cheque don't know how can i track it whether they have cashed it or not.

My friend had applied through BC PNP as well, his credit card was charged after 6 weeks of submitting the applications, without an AOR. This is the most recent timeline for PNPs. Thats way too long, people used to receive an AOR in 6 weeks.

I am in AINP-US visa holder category and my time lines are as follows.

Nomination: March 01, 2012
Application received at CIO: May 24, 2012
Documents Request: June 25, 2012
Application re-submission to CIO: July 10, 2012 (still on the way to CIO)

I also sent them a cashier's check. You can track whether your check has already been cashed or not. For that you have to go to the bank where you purchased and request them to see the status. I did the same thing, but unfortunately my application was returned to me because of some missing documents.

APPLIED TO MANITOBA..6/02/2012

LOA DATED...28/04/2012 BUT RECEIVED OF COURSE BY SNAIL MAIL.... 21/05/2012

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED BY NS(CIO) ON... 26/06/2012

STILL AWAITING AOR FROM CIO....

PNP Application sent: 13 Jan2012
AOR: 30 Jan 2012
Received nomination: 14 Feb2012
Extended my work permit: 20 Mar2012
Submitted PR Application: 13 Apr2012
Documents Request: 22 May 2012
Application Re-submission to CIO: 26 May2012
Credit Card charged: 4 July2012
Application Received: 7 June2012 (ECAS status changed to "Application Received")

Hopefully ,my AOR is coming soon.

Dont know whether they have taken the payment or no.
Well guys just curious to knoe i heard pnp applications for people who are already
Working in canada are given high priority? Is that correct. As i mentioned earlier my collegue
Got his pr after bc pnp within 3months. That is very quick i must say.

I am expecting a response from cio end of this month lets see.

I am currently employed in canada as well, we will see how it goes. hope the timeline is as quick as your friend.
Don't know if you know this or not, If you have a work permit, you should have a client ID on it, go to CIC website and check your application status using your client ID. I have something show up there before I receive my AOR.

As I noticed now a days, usually it takes about 20 to 25 calender days to get a credit card charged. But in both our cases, we have sent a certified check. So, we might need a couple more days to know whether the check has already been en-cashed or not. Because the bank has to update their database first.

As I see, your application has been received at CIO Nova Scatia on July 3rd. I believe you have to wait at least 10 more days.

By the way, I have re-submitted my application and CIO received just yesterday.

I am expecting a response end of this month. I just want to get done with the Medicals and travel. I have to travel for business purposes, but im stuck because if i leave and they request for medicals i will be in trouble. I would have to come back do the medicals.

In any case, it takes a lot of time nowadays.

Lets wait and see. Update me if any of you get anything.

Me and my husband applied for manitoba, I recieved our nomination just yesterday, July 12, 2012, i checked cic to know more about the application for PR and I'm really confused. do i need to fill up again all the application forms such as schedulae A background and declaration? what else do i need to include? aren't they going to send back all the application forms that we sent to manitoba?

Hi Roxanne,

I have applied under AINP program and had to fill all the form again after we got the nomination. You may visit this website to know what are the various forms to be filled in and submit to CIC.

Hi roxanne,

Sarayu has stated it correctly, you have to fill in all the forms. But with updated dates and other necessary documents, like police clearance certificate etc.

So make sure you attach all the documents and update the dates on the documents and make sure you check the check list. As some of the documents needed are originals. I was under the impression that police certificate can be a copy as well, but when i checked the checklist it said originals are needed. So my application was delayed just because i had to wait for the original to arrive from Dubai.

Hi Roxanne...I will start by congratulating U on Ur nomination. And I see loads answers to question , I will quickly add that U work strictly with the checklist , submit copies where necessary n originals when required.Ensure U sign and date all Ur application forms, and make copies of all Ur documents. I applied online, so all my substantiating documents were submitted in softcopies with regards to my Nomination at Manitoba .But from Ur explanation am guessing U submitted by Mail....anywaz just take your time to study the application package and refer to the guidelines too..Whilst wishing you and everybody all the best.Takia...
