Thanks so much for clarifying.
one should note, usually when they dispatch, only then is the status online updated tot approved ... otherwise, an agent told me that the approval actually happens internally much before itself for new PRs.

So rest assured, if you are seeing the online status as approved, more than just likely the cards have been dispatched.

Congrats!
We were approved on the same day. But I guess it would take longer to arrive the west side.

I finally received my PR card in the mail this morning! My timeline below:

Landed in Canada: July 19
Photo resubmission request: Sep 14
Resent the photo: Sep 14 (I sent the photos the same day as I received a request)
Approved in MyCIC: Nov 2
Received the card: Nov 8

In summary, I would say that photo resubmission request is sent roughly 2 months after landing in Canada. If you don't received a request to resubmit photo, you should be receiving your PR card roughly within 61 days. If you did receive a request to resubmit a photo, count roughly additional 2 more months.

After the status changed to approved, wait 3-5 days before the card arrives. Well may be it depends on which part of Canada they are sending the card.

For my case, since I received a request to resubmit photos, my total waiting time is 16 weeks (112 days). Initially 61 days (if everything is perfect, though some received it even earlier than 61 days) then add roughly another 2 mos more....

Really patience is the key.. We get frustrated waiting, we call their call centre to make sure everything is all right (photos, our mailing address captured properly, etc).

Thanks for this forum!.. Hope everyone receive their card soon... :)

I landed on August 9. I just linked my application. It is showing the final decision as approved and is also showing the expiry date of PR card as 28 Sep 2022. Does it mean that my PR card will be mailed to me now? I was afraid about photo resend request. I dont need to worry about the photo anymore? Right?
Hi,

Were your photos taken inside Canada or outside?

Thanks,

Hi,

If there is a photo request to submit new photos for PR card, then (I) do we need to send the photos taken here in Canada sent to them from within Canada only or can we send from our home country (after short landing)? (II) also, the request letter from CIC and new photos need to be sent only via Canada Post or can we use FedEx or DHL to send the same to CIC?

Thanks,
