To Pakistani students

Im from Karachi, Pakistan. I'll apply for my study permit in october for jan2011 intake. Original acceptance letter has been mailed by the university a couple of days ago.

Did you pay your first or second semester fees before applying for a study permit?
Is it a madatory requirement of local Embassy?

How are you mate.

Brother, there is no condition to pay tuition from CHC Islamabad.

But it is always better to show half of the course fee paid as an evidence that you hold sufficient funds to finance your stay there.

half of the course fee paid? mine is 4 years program, Did you mean I would have to pay first 2 years tutiton fees in advance?

One more question, Is police certificate valid for 6 months?

Police Certificate is valid for 3 months only.

and if you are going to get into 4 years prog.

I thing first year fee would work fine.

Got your email. What's your relation with LUMS?

I heard that police certificate was valid for 6 months. My dad applied for US family based immigration and got a police certificate valid for 6 months.

Is it different for Canada?Anyway, I'll have to enquire about it from a local thanay dar No big deal.

I just got Police Clearance Certificate and they have mentioned in italic that it is valid for next 3 months only.

My relation to Lums is Nostalgic....anyways will talk to it some other time.

I'll be able to apply by either mid oct or last week of oct. That's my priority. My classes will start from Jan 5. Leaving two months for visa processing.
