Hello I have a question. Any one here from Alberta who wad able to get in the cap this year. I wanted to ask when and where did you sent your application? I would really appreciate it if you reply. I want to be prepared for next year. I sent my parents app through one day express service by Canadapost on Dec 31 and my app reached Ont on Jan 6.

Hi Jian,

I sent from Calgary via purolator. The mail was delayed due to tansportation and arrived at 9:43 Jan.5. Lucky me, catch the second 5000 batch.

Thanks. I was choosing between Fedex and Purolator. By the way what date did you send it? Was it a day before or December?

I am also in the same stage like you. Nothing after AOR letter by regular mail.

Hello Guys,

After changing the home address 'In process' status has been changed to 'Application received' status.
I read that many of you have experienced it. Do you have an idea what it means and how long it takes to get the 'In process' status again

Did any of you get the medical request when the application status was 'Application received'

I sent my parents app from Edmonton via purolator next day service . It was delayed due to transportation and reached at 8:52 AM January 5. I am assuming my app made it to second 5000 cap. Received my AOR and no progress thereafter.

I have a question regarding Option C printout. I am signed up for CRA My Account service online but it only gives me the option for getting Option C print outs for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. Same is the case when I call their automated number 1 (800) 959-8281. Is there any way to obtain option C print out for the year 2012?

Edmonton sent thru Purolator on Dec 31st for next day 9am delivery, got delayed and reached on Jan 5th at 8:52am, got a request to submit death certificate for my dad, did that online but nothing after that.

Check the spreadsheet few people from AB got SA already.

Also don't use Canada post for time sensitive documents. I would recommend if you know anyone in GTA area then send them your app in advance and let them give it some local courier for best possibility to reach the cap. Also some local couriers in GTA offer special services for other province applicants to send them applications and they deliver for them. Just check in here or do some google research in Dec. and you will surely figure out something.

You should be able to get it online as there website says between 2004 and 2015. I hope you have the same SIN and had income tax filled for 2012.
If its not working then maybe call and talk to agent and ask them you need it and they should be able to figure out something.

u can only get 2012 option C by speaking with agent. No other way

SA = Sponsorship Approval.

I'm from AB too. Here is my experience....

When I sent my documents using Canada Post for the 2015 application year it reached as expected, just that it took a long time to be updated on their online tracking website. My application did not make the 2015 limit and was returned along with the envelope in which it was sent. The stamp from CIC on the envelope indicated that my application was delivered as expected.

For this year 2016, I went with FedEx as I did not want to experience the uncertainty of not knowing for days if the application reached on time or not. With FedEx my application reached on time (9:14) and was informed about it on time too. Think due to the high volume my application did not make it to the initial 5k, but did when the limit was increased to 10k. I called other large courier companies early December and happened to get a FedEx customer service person that actually knew about the CIC deadlines and that put me at ease compared to the other large ones. I went to the FedEx drop off at the airport just so I would know for certain that the application did make it to their shipment center before the new year holiday weekend.

Hi guys,

I think this question has been raised quite a bit but still looking for answer if someone has experience.

I am the sponsor and and the representative of my parents application.Furthermore on my parents application form they have my canada address written and not anything from the back home.Even online status shows my canadian address as my understanding is if you have signed use of representative form then representative address will be there.

So the file is transferred to London visa office.If London office will contact me for any further future communication or do i need to provide my parents back home address.

Any experience will be appreciated.
