Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

No more new CC charges I guess?!?!?...probably 10K cap is now full...

if yes, why there are about 20 ppl in the spreadsheet delivered on Jan 04 have not get charged yet?

I just called CIC this afternoon @ 3:40pm.
the lady was so nice. i gave her my client ID. she also confirmed my DOB and pulled out my old mailing address. but she could not find my application in the system. no receiving time, nothing.
my application was sent by Purolator on Jan 4 9:43 am.
i asked if my package got returned to my old address. she said the officer would definitely open your envelop and return your docs to your current mailing address.
i also said i thought CIC had finished the second 5000 caps. she said it was impossible.
in the end i said no news is a good news. she replied usually!

and when i put all details of mine it shows me details about my citizenship application not about my parents application.

You can see the status online only once your ECAS profile is activated by IRCC...not necessarily it will happen at the same time when you get your AOR...this is based on past experience of other applicants. you have to put the details in the below link...and have to provide client ID, Last name, DOB and country...of the principal applicant or of the sponsor (provided sponsor is also a representative of the applicants)

Oh...there can be multiple reasons for those 20 ppl....few of the reasons are as below...CIC does not consider the first 10K, but COMPLETE 10K apps. Hence they accepted 14K...out of which only first 10K complete apps will be considered for this year. These are based on my assumptions...

1> Those 20 ppl did not update the SS owner (Rossei) about their CC charged date and details. So its not updated in the SS yet.
2> Few paid by DD...so they are yet to know the status of their apps...because many of the ppl are finding it difficult to know if their DD was cashed...in that case, these applicants are waiting for AOR and/or ECAS to be activated...which takes time (few days)...
3> Their application might be in processes of getting returned by IRCC...due to incompleteness. So the ppl are yet to know about their status.

Lets be positive...no one knows about whats going on...and if second set of 5K is done or not...so until we get charged or apps are returned...there is still hope...

It is showing your citizenship application details probably because you applied for citizenship and it is in process...so

In that case...It will be updated later as mentioned by our another member of this forum...firstly because it takes time...and alternately you can also checking using principle applicant's details in ECAS...as you already have your citizenship application in process...against your UCI number.

Even for me, I am yet to receive AOR + ECAS is also not activated yet...it takes time in general...so we just need to be patient.

Is it "20" or "63" on day 1 that are not accepted yet...based on whats showing in the SS? This might not be the right number based on the assumptions that I have mentioned before. Many probably did not update yet...about their status...

I made another column Total Rejected in the Statistics page of the SS so that we know how many applications are still pending (for various reasons you already mentioned with which I agree) from Jan 4 and onward.

So, it's actually 63 - 5 = 58 from Jan 4 which is still a lot considering 20 getting charged from Jan 5.

Very likely a lot of people saw this forum and spreadsheet and thought it would be a good idea to add themselves in it and then completely forgot about it.
Not everyone will be as dedicated as us to check the forum everyday considering there likely wont be any progress for months (or years).
Most of the Purolator and Fedex batch applicants who are yet to be charged are not active at all in the forum.
