Hey dbss - which is your visa office ?

Also, if your medicals expired in July - has the visa office asked you to do re-medical or anything like that ?

I don't think any visa office can ask for re-medical since it was a requirement which was met at the time when we were asked us to get the medicals done. They can't ask us again to get re-medical done as the requirement was met and approved when they asked us for medical.

My friend's VO is NDVO. The VO has not asked for anything. My friend did email them a couple of weeks before expiry of medicals stating that medicals are about to expire and they said they do not require anything and will let him know if that changes.

As for re-medical, not sure if they have the right but they certainly do ask for re-medicals if medicals are expired most of the times.

Hopefully this help.

Go to URL below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Go directly to section on validity where it says:
Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months only. If you do not come to Canada as a permanent resident within that time, you may need to have another exam.

Hello,

I have a question. My parent's medical examination is going to be expire in December. I am going to apply for a visitor visa for them, can I use their PR medical exam results in their visitor visa application? or they have to do the medical again?

Please let me know.

As per Open data available on Govt. site. they issued around 16000 PGP visa in year 2017(From Jan to Aug) so only 4000 visa left for remaining year.

Any one received GCMS notes recently whose medical is expiring in Jan or Feb 2018? Will they issue Visa to our parents in this year or we have to wait till next year.

Yes, you can use the same medical again. I have applied visitor visa for my parents in August 2017 as their medical still valid for only 1 month, which expired in Sept. 2017. And they successfully received visitor visa.

You can download the Open data from this link. It's by month and by each province for each visa category. I just taken PGP and made total of it.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/opendata-donneesouvertes/data/IRCC_M_PRadmiss_0001_E.xls

There are other data also available. See below link
http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/f7e5498e-0ad8-4417-85c9-9b8aff9b9eda
I wonder where these visas are being issued. Clearly, PGP2016 on this forum is dead. Is PGP2015/PGP2014 being handled or pre-2011 is still being finished?

I understand not everybody who applied is on this forum but we still have quite a considerable number.

Thanks dgpatel for the information.

However, I wonder the how accurate this data is. When I checked and counted the number of parents issued visa to BC on Q1 on this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14ujwMXUzGTckLlr1dkuitOOKiqpp5_bhhLDKxDe3NDg/edit#gid=0, the number show more than 4 parents issued on Q 1 but the data source shows 0 parents.

Thanks

PGP2016 data(spreadsheet) which we are using to check processing time/speed is very small sample size to make any statement.
