I hav decided to come to india and submit the passport and hope i get the pp soon

if they dont give the passports within a month we can withdraw the pp from VFS am i right?

Dear Kish,
As per trends, colombo/vfs applicants usually get their passports back within 20-25 days maximum. So, I think u will also receive those within this time frame.....
Best of luck....and do check ur ecas status, it will change to 'decision made'. It more or less assures us of early return of our pp's.......

You can check your status after you get the AOR, since your Application number and UCI no.'s are mentioned in the AOR and any one of these are required for checking the ECAS status.

Ohkay Thanks alot . Hey, Mpnp sent me mail with file number as MBxxxx-xxxxxx (although i cannot check my ecas with this, as they said in mail that my file is under pre-assessment). Is this AOR ? File will move to CIO NS after Sponsor's and mine interview ? what's next and next.... ?? Coz those who applied after me already got PR and i haven't passed even my 1st initial steps

No this is not your AOR - infact this is your initial stage of getting mpnp approval. if you and your sponser just been interviewed than you will be receiving your LOA (letter of approval) soon maybe within 1-2 months in your mail box. After that with that LOA, you submit all the rest of your documents to sydney - novascotia office by mail/courier and then only you will receive your first AOR from NS-CI office which for me took a month. So, unfortunately, there are still few steps for you to go through to get your AORs. But if your interview went well and your LOA gets sent then you have cleared one stage of the few.
For me when i look at the forum this delhi office is taking too too long - there are people waiting from 4 months to a year. So that is yet to come for you and for me as well. so for now, you should just wait for your letter in your mailbox shouldn't take more than a month or two for LOA. GOODLUCk TO YOU! BTW you cannot check ecas until you get application number etc which is when you receive AOR from CIO-NS.
