In this case you won't have confirmation of the visa office processing your application as you have not yet come to the federal submission stage. This is after you get your LOA and then you submit your federal forms and LOA to CIC (to the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, NS or known as CIO-NS). The visa office normally assigned to process the application further will be the VO serving the location where you (as PA) is legally residing and where the PA is a resident of. In this case expect this to be a VO in the US as you have legally entered the US on a valid US visa that allows for an extended stay.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no set time between the application stages. Submission is only one part of this process, the others we do not see is how long it takes for the other checks (admissibility checks) to be completed and assessments done by the VO. Medical is only one of the admissibility checks. When all of the admissibility checks and assessments are completed and a final assessment is ready - likely PPR will be issued.

You may have to take a look at the various tracking spreadsheets within the different threads here and gather the data so you can get an estimate of how long. They are maintained per thread.

Thanks for your reply.....

since, I have been reading about the federal submission while waiting for the result of my mpnp online application. On the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008F) #4 "IMMIGRATION OFFICE REQUESTED FOR PROCESSING THIS APPLICATION" , i thought i get to choose which visa office I want my application to be processed. So, it is CIO-NS who decides where the processing will be?

With regards to processing time, does the location of visa office matters? From what I have read from the forum, visa office in Philippines is faster.

Sir/Mam/Senior,

few questions:

1. do we need to include our elementary days in our application? If yes, meaning we need to upload the diploma and form137 as well?
2. for licensed professionals, did you upload the PRC ID together with your board rating certificate? or enough na yun just the board rating certificate?
3. Did you upload a certification from SSS/GSIS stating your history of contribution and employment?

The current processing times in different visa offices (as of 3/10) are listed here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/inFORMation/times/perm/provincial.asp
The main site www.cic.gc.ca also has a lot of information that will help in preparing your application.

Whatever you include in your application there is a corresponding attachment...
As per mine,
Q1. I didnt include elementary, I started from high school and including diploma & form 137.
Q2. PRC ID is enough no need to include the board rating cert.
Q3. No, I didnt include SSS/GSIS

Appreciate the quick response chris. Problema ko kasi sa Q2 expired ang ID ko since 2005. If i have to pay again, it will cost me 10k at least dahil need ko daw mag renew ng membership sa IECEP. So i am thinking if the board certificate is allowed dahil meron na sakin yun. In regards to Q1, you did not include elementary but in the MPNP online application it says should be 10years or low, may tanong sa kabilang thread na dapat 10years daw not the other way around. which is which?

Here confirmation from rosy cheek and ErwinP - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/mpnp-application-2014-for-filipinos-t187313.105.html

Hi fapper, let me chime in. Those of us who were not part of k-12 will really have lower number of years in school. However, if you total elementary, high school and college (4years) it will total to 14years. For my application, I only included these, plus 3years since I have a maters degree.

Just go through the personal scoring-assessment form and if you think it will merit you better to include elementary years, then include your form 137.

For the PRC ID, the consultant I used to go to told me to have it active since the assessor needs to see that we have not violated any of our oaths. A friend had the same case as yours but she was asked of her active PRC later. It will not hurt if you provide that initially and if it will be asked later on, then provide it. It will lengthen your application timeline though.

Good luck!
