Hi, sa lahat ng nasa Canada na sino po sa inyo ang nagkuha ng ticket online (manila to canada) pls let us know the experience. At yung naglay-over sa Japan do we need transit visa just heard it from the travel agency here in Dubai a bit confusing why do i need a transit visa if i will not get out of the airport. Please let us know po...mura kc ang ticket sa online...

No need if you do not want to "enter" Japan and make a short visit.

Meaning you will exit Immigration, and enter Japan. Generally, if you do not need to pass through an immigration checkpoint, you do not need a visa.

Generally transit visas can be required by the country through which your flight is "connecting" or has a "layover"/"technical stop" etc. Means you need to disembark from the airplane, pass through immigration checkpoints/have your visa checked if your flight connects through an airport in that country, even if you do not have to leave the airport premises.

The US is an example - all passengers on connecting flights who are citizens of countries who do not have visa-waiver agreements or other bilateral diplomatic agreements on transit of citizens, and connect through US airports, need a transit visa even if they are not leaving the airport premises.

Check if your desired ticket involves a change of airport. This is very unlikely, but entirely possible - would explain why flights maybe cheap. Just an example (example only but this is very, very unlikely), your MNL-JPN flight arrives in Haneda (Tokyo International Airport) and your JPN-CDN flight originates from Narita International Airport. So to get to Narita, you have to "enter" Japan (passing through immigration at Haneda) and "Transit" through the country (via rail, bus or taxi etc.) to Narita eairport. You will need a "transit visa" for this.

Online tickets - sometimes, the selection is left to the traveller, and those purchasing tickets online should make the prior research on the convenient route to take (layovers, stops etc.)

Hello Friends,

I checked my eCAS today and it indicates "In Process" from "Application Received." It also says that they've started processing our application on Sept. 10, 2013. It does not say anything about our medicals because we currently on furtherance. I feel so blessed that there has been progress in our application.

I am so grateful to the Lord because He never fails.

I checked my eCAS today and it indicates "In Process" from "Application Received." It also says that they've started processing our application on Sept. 10, 2013. It does not say anything about our medicals because we currently on furtherance. I feel so blessed that there has been progress in our application.

I am so grateful to the Lord because He never fails.

I paid my PF and RPRF together but I used demand draft as payment. I saw that CIC encashed both cheques when they sent my AOR. I don't know if this answers your question though...

Medical exam of my bunso is not yet finalized. Kaya din wala pa akong "medical results have been received" sa eCAS. Application received and yun ngang started processing. God bless!

Kc po according po sa inemail ng embassy sa kasama ko eligible na po na magparegister kapg nkareceived ng invitation letter and ciip brochure or medical/security notification letter or a visa pick up notification letter or a canadian visa.

nagpa estimate po kasi ako ng courier kanina (lbc, jrs, and 2go) lahat po sila hinahanapan ako ng consignee and contact details ng mag rerecieve ng application ko. pro bakit po ayaw nila ng binigay na address ng MPNP sakin. Sa mga members po dito na nag apply thru MPNP san nio po inaddress ung application nio and anong courier service ung ginamit nio. or talagang pang snail mail lang po itong CIC application? any help will be much appreciated! thanks in advance!

Kindly read through the list of seminars. For voluntary seminars, as soon as you get an invitation, you may register and attend. The CIIP seminar registration page asks you the following when you register:

I confirm I, or my spouse/parent, have applied for immigration to Canada under either the Federal Skilled Worker or Provincial Nominee stream as a principal applicant, spouse or working-age adult dependant.
Yes No

I confirm that I, or my spouse/parent, have received one of the following:

■an invitation letter/ CIIP brochure from CIC, or
■a medical notification letter, or
■a visa pick-up notification letter, or
■a visa but have not yet landed in Canada

As you have the invite - you can proceed to register.
