As we'll be living in Quebec, we had to submit an undertaking application to the Quebec government and pay the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) $250CAD for this extra step. I'm a bit surprised they've made a decision so early as I've been reading that Quebec applications can take an extra 6 weeks to process... So we're very anxious to see what the result is!

Im in quebec, and our WHOLE application took only 2 months and half were just waiting for my husband passport back in the mail with his visa

I sent it on the 9th, so it took 20 days total

The issue I am having is the Ecas had changed to Decision Made last Monday. However, I am yet to receive the letter from Buffalo.

I should have put an email address in the application? Probably, they would sent passport request via email?

Should I put a case specific enquiry on the site?

My spouse got her passport back in the mail visa included! Took a total of a week including transit time - I am sure I'll be paying Fedex through the nose for this. I think we're going to be driving down to the border on the weekend to land!

Oh I forgot to mention we also bought a bottle of MUMM's to share tonight!

Bonbon9, I got update on eCas today and it says processing began Nov. 22... The letter I previously got was dated Oct. 11 which was 6 days after sponsor approval and I think they just put that there as that is when the arrival stamp to their office is. Soooo...You can change my stats to the following.

Recieved AOR and processing started Nov. 22.

Sorry for the confusion, this immigration process is sometimes confusing and not systematic! :

But unfortunately it is only the beginning of what is the longest part of the whole process But, nothing we can do about that but think positive There are even people a month before us that didn't hear anything yet for Moscow office... I feel very badly for them because they should have heard something before me. Not sure what is going on there...

Today I have requested an additional week off from work and will visit my wife on Dec. 20th for a total of 28 days! It will be 5 months that I haven't seen her and need to maximize this time, because we expect possible months of more waiting after that... So the next two months will go buy not so badly and should kill some of the long wait

That's awesome news, Shawn! Enjoy every minute that you spend with your newlywed wifey First Christmas together? This will be the first Chrismas together for us too! We're totally excited about it!!

The wait is totally hard I feel so lucky to be able to wait it out with my husband here in Canada. We waited for so, so many years to be together and now that we are, it is unfortunate that we have to go through such a stressful process, and it seems to be a long wait ahead still

Got the letter in the mail today asking for passports to issue the PR visa to be sent by Dec 21, 2010. I am guessing the letter was sent from Buffalo last Monday but reached today. I will be sending the passports by tomorrow. I am travelling outstation on Dec 23 and hoping the passport comes back by then.

i am so upset. instead of seeing PPR i got letter to submit FBI Finger prints. i sent them state one before.. so upset. today i sent my finger prints to FBI. how long is it going to take....???
