Sponsoring husband through lawyer. e-CAS says application was received Sept 8 and letter sent Oct 5. Status says "Decision Made". We still haven't received the letter though.

1. Could there be an issue with the application? ie if the application was being returned as incomplete etc would the status say decision made
2. who will get the approval letter - the lawyer or us?

Hi applied03!

You can travel to India, but you will need the PR card to come back to Canada. You can ask a relative to send it to you through Fedex or any safe courier (Fedex!! I wouldn't trust DHL or UPS.. terrible experiences with both!). You can also ask for a travel document to be issued so you can travel while you receive your PR card.

I believe that they will send you a letter with the applicant's Client ID on AOR. That is when you can start using eCAS with the applicant's information. Decision made and (I think) processing status are displayed on the sponsor's eCAS.
