Hey guys

Minor update for me : Request for documents (and a very frustrating one at that)

I recieved the following email:

- We require further information regarding your Australia police certificate notation of ''NO DISCLOSABLE COURT OUTCOMES''. As you may be aware, a notation of ''NO DISCLOSABLE COURT OUTCOMES'' on an Australian Police Certificate means that at some point the individual has come to the attention of the police and information is held about them on their national records. In all cases, it is necessary that an honest and complete submission of events/outcomes is provided to ensure that the applicant is not criminally inadmissible to Canada under the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Please note, it will not be possible to finalise your application without this information. Please provide a personal, signed statement detailing the events and outcome(s) pertaining to your police record. For the officer's consideration, you may also wish to provide an official explanation (from the police or courts where relevant) for this ''NO DISCLOSABLE COURT OUTCOMES' notation to substantiate your personal statement.

I have never been arrested, questioned, stopped or even talked to any member of the australian police force, so ive done a bit of reading (aka i googled it, first link tells me it is standard for everyone to have that on their AFP check if they have no record).

I am at a bit of a loss of what to do, writing a letter to CIC stating that 'Ive never been arrested so there is nothing to explain' sounds to me like it wouldnt really fly.

Just hours ago i was super hopeful that my visa wasnt far off with all these people getting DM

Write a letter explaining this and attach the link to the information you found or copy the info to the email. You have no choice you have to explain.

Clous87 did you get the request today?

Like taffy says just provide what they ask for, they even tell you exactly what to provide (personal, signed statement detailing the events and outcome(s) pertaining to your police record) and if you can provide documentation which states that all Australian police clearances have the same line on them.

Hi everyone,

I am about to post my documents tomorrow for my PR. We have chosen the outbound route even though we live in Canada currently.
I do have one question. I read somewhere that we needed to give passport photos however i cant see them listed on the check list documents? Is this a requirement to have passport photos of myself, parter and son?

Thanks and i look forward to sharing my journey with you on here.

Jason

Hello Jason,

On this page look at Part 3: Information Guides. These guides are specific to applicants from certain countries in the world and dictate what these applicants need to provide.

I presume you are British based on the thread you are posting in, in which case this is the information guide for you. Item 13 in that checklist specifies photos.

Appendix B in the same document details the requirements of the photos.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Edit: You only need photos for applicants. Your wife is either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident so she does not need photos, and if your son has Canadian citizenship (as his mum is Canadian) then he does not need photos. Basically only those applying for PR need to provide photos.

When you apply for PR you should give me the following so I can add you to the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is linked in my signature and tracks applicants being processed in London.

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt (if non-visa exempt) provide the applicant's nationality
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam

Thanks,
Andrew

Yes you are required to send photos but not passport photos. The photos you need are immigration photos appendix B . Photos are only required for the applicant or any dependent children who is accompany you to Canada or not . If your children is Canadian photos aren't required.

The photos must measure between 25mm and 30mm (1" and 1 1/5 " ) from chin to crown and have a 35mmx45mm ( 1 3/8 x 1 3/4" )finished size. they can be black and white or colour 8 photos each are required.
