Looks like they were on a roll today as we got the same email!!!

That is great news We're sending everything off tomorrow. Will let you know when we received the COPR. We have flights for Montreal booked for July 14th, so hopefully we'll be able to land then.

I have question. My passport was in islamabad office for visa stam. And after that my medical expired. CIC India office request me medical reassessment and i was done on 7 of april and send medical to india. So now how mush take a time for send passport back to me. Any idea

Hey, just a small update from me. Ecas has now updated to Medicals Received. This is a huge relief as I had to send copy of emedical form after being told they couldnt find medicals. Note: Medicals were under maiden name and application in married name. Just good to see any small update on ecas. This process has made me learn the meaning of patience!!

Congrats to all receiving COPR and passport copy requests. Always great seeing updates on other cases.

Hey so i've had some updates.

I was asked for a copy of a brand new passport, as mine expired this summer, on March 31th (my birthday) within 30 days.
So I went back to the UK, got a new passport and sent in the copy on April 20th.

As of yesterday, April 23rd, the website changed to decision made and I was sent instructions, a few hours late, on how to apply for COPR.

I am going to drop off the COPR application stuff on Monday. I don't seem to be able to update the spreadsheet myself :/

I'm pretty happy to be so close - its been a long road towards PR (I've been in Canada off and on since 2005). I just count myself lucky that my application was kept in Mississauga as it is clearly much faster than London.

Does anyone know if it takes longer to apply for COPR if you do it from inside Canada (Ottawa) or is it the same as London?

Edit - not sure if my wording is a bit weird here. I am apply so that my "permanent resident visa(s) can be issued". Not sure if that's what COPR is or not. Perhaps this isn't normal - they are requesting more photos and passport photocopy (which is amusing because I recently sent them a photocopy). I'm thinking its because it was processed in Mississauga but of course i asked for London. So they are asking for me to send directly to London instead of sending the stuff over themselves? I neither know or care particularly.

We received my boyfriend's COPR in the mail today ;D

We sent all documents (passport copies, photos etc) on April 10th to Ottawa, so that was actually pretty quick!

We are going to make a trip to the border to activate his PR probably next weekend.

RE: CIC Montreal - I'm just going to assume that their 2 letters were sent to my place in error. My application was initially considered inland (erroneously) and even though we contacted CPC Mississauga and corrected their error and made sure it was processed outland, we still received ALL inland correspondance IN ADDITION to outland correspondance (we received 2 AORs, 2 SA's, 2 requests for CSQs, and even 2 approvals!)

Hi guys when they request UCI number from CIC will that be my CIC number (the applicant) or my GFS number (the sponsor) also where do i find it? I've logged on to my CIC account but struggling to see a unique number. Thanks. And congratulations to people who have been accepted this quickly.

This is your passport request which means they are ready to issue your COPR. Congrats, spreadsheet updated!

All updated - glad it arrived! I'm still baffled by the whole Montreal thing, but whatever, you're done and dusted now! Good oto have someone finished as well whose application was misfiled as Inland originally; it's useful as when it happens to new people they are comforted by success stories! So well done and all the best with your landing! Don't forget there are some really useful wiki articles over at BritishExpats to help prepare you for landing and, if you need it, your goods to follow list - have a read through those so you know what you need and what to expect. I assume this is when you are filling out the application? I don't think you've filed yours yet. The person whose UCI they are asking for depends on the form; if it's the sponsor's form, then it's the sponsor's UCI. If it's the applicant's form, then it's the applicant's UCI. Not everyone has one, but some people have UCIs from previous dealings with CIC, like if they held an IEC or TWP in the past, then they may already have a UCI. If you don't have one, then just leave it blank.

Looking at your other post, it looks like you applied maybe back in September?

Assuming you have sponsor approval, the address of which office is processing your Stage 2 will be written on your sponsor approval letter. It will give you the address of the CIC office processing Stage 2, that address will either be MIssissauga, Ottawa, or London.

I think that's what you're asking?
