Ah yes, hello, you again.

I will refer you to post 14682 by keego_1, posted on page 979 - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-outland-london-uk-applications-t49436.14670.html

"Please provide proof of cohabitation for the past 12 months". Keego applied in March 2014. Luckily they have continued living together, but if they have lived apart, as you claim is fine, then how would Keego respond to this request?

This is why I have maintained over and over again that REGARDLESS of what the handbook says, common-law couples should NOT live apart.

Yes, I saw that post. I have seen that request MANY times before to other applicants on the forum; it's not an uncommon CIC request. Keego could simply respond with documentation of why they are living apart, any other proof of the common-law establishing period that they didn't submit in the initial application and proof of the continued relationship while they've been apart. It's really not that difficult.

Yaay gave you number 100!

Anyhow, to prove your case, not that it needs proving; I informed CIC of my new address as soon as we had applied and I left for Sweden, and that I had a job in Sweden and was living alone. Did they care? No. We had already proved our cohabitation very well and that it lasted for a minimum of 12 months.

Thanks Graihn! That helps to balance out the few negative votes I've racked up today lol. It would be nice if people could only down vote something wrong and not just something that they don't like or don't agree with.

Mississauga requested it. I called and they want the short form as they believe I sent the marriage licence and not the certificate.

If your going to email it then email the long form again first with an explanation . Then email the short one when it arrives . They have made an error and may be able to correct it sooner than later .Also email the VO who is dealing with your case. They requested more documents off me ,so i emailed the VO who issued my SA and she called me to tell me that it was an error. Good Luck .

I just looked at mine and at the top it says Marriage licence ,but its my certificate . Cic has not looked at it closely . I would be calling them. The record of Solemnization is what you get first at the registry office. Some one has made a boo boo !

I did that and then called - they are not interested in my reasoning. I have ordered the short form and laid the extra $30 to expedite processing - will have it by Monday

Hi
Could you add my info to the spreadsheet please
My case has not been straight forward to date and I will provide the key points to give a bit of background.
Previously residing in BC since 2008 with visitor and work permits; deported May 2014 because of Canadian DUI conviction in April 2012 (no other criminal history); currently in Wales at my fathers house while common-law partner, children, dog, house, jobs and entire life remain in BC. All requests by CIC were followed, and I was responsible for my own travel back to the UK. I have been 100% compliant with the entire horrendous procedure.
TRP and ARC submitted in May 2014 on return to the UK, alongside humanitarian and compassionate submission requesting to be able to return to be with family in Canada while PR was being processed. British passport and fees included with application.
No response to case specific enquiries about PR over summer after 11 month process time had been exceeded. A follow up case specific enquiry submitted beginning of September 2014 for which I got a reply on Oct 7 stating that there was no record of TRP and ARC applications (and UK passport); 2 days later I received my passport and TRP and ARC fees returned in the prepaid envelope I'd originally supplied, along with an email saying that my TRP application had been passed to appropriate department. The following day my PR ECAS went 'In Process'. I have had no response to my enquiries about the return of my TRP and ARC fees which I presume render my applications incomplete.
These are the relevant dates for spreadsheet I think:
PR application received 22 Aug 2013
sponsor approval 11 Sept 2013
RPRF and (2nd updated) medical requested 10 July 2014
RPRF receipt and medical results received 26 July 2014
Case in process 10 Oct 2014
RCMP fingerprints, new UK police certificate, and updated schedule A requested 15 Oct 2014
Received 24 Oct 2014
Everyday I hope there will be some good news, so I can go home to my family. :(
Is there any advice that can be offered, perhaps you've come across similar scenarios before? Do I have any hope in resolving this before I'm eligible for a pardon in April 2018?
Also, in the 2013 spreadsheet, there are a number of cases that have gone into process, then had documents requested and then nothing further added and they remain with no decision made for months (zqdot, saeedar etc), while others have a decision made within 4 weeks of the additional document request? Are you aware of any reason for this or any pattern? I'm trying to guess how long it will take them to update my file with the additional info I've sent recently and hopefully, finally come to a decision? The uncertainty that hangs over my family is agonising, it now has been 6 months since we last saw each other. Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Because I have been dealing with two different types of Visas (IEC and Spousal) the last 2 years sometimes the rules for each get confused in my head and intermingle. I remember multiple cases that I believe were for IEC visas where they were rejected due to DUIs. Canada takes a very hard stance on DUIs, (and rightly so in my opinion). I am not so confident that those rules for sure apply to spousal applications but I believe they would.

Hi
I am from Pakistan. I applied for spousal visa on 24-May-2014. Recieved sponsorship approval on 28-Aug-2014 and then it was moved to London. Now when i checked my application status on ECAS today it says that my
"Permanent residence application for federal skilled worker is sumitted to sydney, nova scotia."
I never applied for Federal Skilled worker visa but i am a software engineer. so maybe i got some points? Does it have anything to do with my spousal application? Will it take more time or less time to process my spouse application? Please let me know if anybody have seen anything similar?
Thanks

i would call cic to make sure they didn't accidently sent your application there by mistake. i've seen this mistake reported before, and they called CIC who was able to rectify the issue. it could also be as simple as an input mistake.
