Congratulations, is your 16 days from when you sent PPR or they received it.

I am leaving Canada on the 18th which will be 16 days for me since I sent PPR, I am crossing fingers and toes that I will get mine by then. Otherwise I will start planning another holiday to land after we get back.

16 days from PPR received date (via registered mail to CPP-Ottawa).

This is purely a guess based on how long it took others but I would say you have a 50/50 chance of getting it on time. It has taken some people as few as 8 days and around 4 weeks for some (if you sent PPR by email, then it's a much shorter wait).

Landed today at Peach Ark! Woohoo! :)

Flagpole went smoothly. 40min wait at the border (going on a Friday is the worst time). Filled out a form on the US side, then went to the Canada side with the form. The actual COPR-landing process took about 5min.

Hi all,
Just looking for some information on which way is better inland or Outland? What's the average wait time Outland?
Also how does it work with Outland will I need to go back to Australia anytime during the process?

You most certainly can apply Outland and still reside inside Canada, I was the entire process. Outland is FAR better than Inland. It's on average 6 months from the date you send the application to receiving COPR. Inland could take up to 18 months-2 years, you also HAVE to stay inside Canada. Leaving could revoke your application.
With Outland you're free to travel outside Canada without any complications to your application.
As well as living in Canada while applying Outland, your application could be processed in Mississauga (overflow of Sydney applications get processed there) or Ottawa which both are quicker than Sydney VO.
The only thing with outland is that you must stay in status in Canada i.e Visitor visa or if you have a work permit.
Other than that, Outland is the way to go.

Any other questions fee free to ask.

Also, 6 months would be more realistic as you are applying for Common-Law sponsorship. They may scrutinize your application a bit more as oppose to a Spousal sponsorship. Some of the Spousals have been getting COPR in under 3 months but if you've got everything in order, it should be fine.

Hey friends...

Don't post here often but kind of need a bit of advice. We are on my husbands 2nd PR application. 1st we did through Canada and was rejected due to minor criminality. He has been in Canada for 7 years and on his fourth TRP and Work permit. We have since hired a lawyer to do up the 2nd PR application. It was sent to Australia in May. Ecas isn't even showing it as 'in process' and we haven't heard a word since the sponsor part was approved.
I'm starting to get really anxious and am contemplating sending an email. I know it slows down the process, but by how much??

As well, how exactly would I word such an email?

Any advice would be great. TIA

Everything Aussam said. I think wait times depend a lot on your application and how complicated it is. The one advice I would add is to do your medical and pay all your fees (including RPRF) upfront like it says in the application guide. Each time they have to get in touch with you to tell you to go get your medical done, go pay your fee, send in this document, etc, will extend the time of processing. You may need to go back to Australia to do an interview if there are any doubts about your application, so make sure you put in quality evidence of relationship.

For what it's worth, I'm doing my COPR-landing interview later this week in Vancouver, which is less than 2.5 months after my application was received by CIC. I'm not sure why my application has moved so quickly, but I think paying all the fees upfront and being in Canada (despite applying outland through Sydney office) helped.

I'm going for my COPR interview later this week at a CIC office in Vancouver. Does anyone know if this means that I will be landing there? Or will I need to do a border run? What is the process after getting COPR?

I don't think anyone will be able to help you with this sorry. You seem to have gone through a new process through Missisauga, most people get posted their COPR. Although I imagine you will land, I couldn't imagine why else they would have an interview.
