How do you know if your application has been delivered successfully?
I see no updates or anything when i check the CIC website, i am scared now that it never even got there, and we sent it out in July! this is really frustrating when i see others already have theirs....


whenever i check the website all i see is:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

* Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
* This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:

* At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of your application ONLY if you have:
o sponsored a member of the family class;
o applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
o applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal);
o applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
o applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
o applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
o applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
o applied to resume Canadian citizenship.

foxlove - you have not heard anything since July?? Are you inland or outland application?

If you applied outland - contact them immediately because you should have heard something within 45 days.

If it's inland then someone else will have to advise you on what communication you should have received by now but I think definitely you would have received some kind of communication so I would call and check they have the right contact details for you...

It was inland... now i am really scared i will have to call tomorrow i suppose
how do they contact you, via phone? that would make sense because we moved and have new phone #'s :-X
however, our address is still the same as on the applications if they contact via mail. i am so confused on this process

No, I think you would have received something by mail. Not necessarily anything to panic about if its inland. But definitely check the address is right.

Hi foxlove

You can call 1-888-242-2100, after choosing English service, press "2" -- checking status then press "1" --PR,
then it will require your client # and the year of birth (put your info if you're the one be sponsored because I didn't get anything when I put the sponsor's info), then you'll hear something from the system. If you have question about it just press "0" to talk to agent....Good luck

It's here! and the date on the visa is correct and everything so we're officially done! Can't believe it

Everything lined up to arrive in Canada in May.

Nope, nothing as off yet.

It has been exactly 4 weeks since they signed for the package tomorrow,

We also included a prepaid servientrega slip, just incase they were willing to use it.

Hello guys just to let you know that I landed on Saturday 19 I'm oficially a permanent resident for all you waiting don't desperate things happen so quickly here I did not hear a lot from Mexico vo and suddenly in less that 1 month I got the pr afte they requested the police clearance. SOme still waiting! Hope it is short.

My date to land by is coming up quickly and I think we've decided to not use my visa. I'm sad, for the process we've gone thru which is not coming to fruition. The money we put into the process, and the lack of support from my husbands family which is the main reason we aren't moving afterall. We wanted to move so our kids could have family nearby but they seem uninterested. My MIL gave SIL $120K for her house, and wouldn't even help us with the $5K we needed to sell ours.

Still waiting, passport was received by the Bogota office 8 weeks ago today. Nothing yet, cant travel, nothing. This sucks, we are really hoping to hear something this week,
