HELLO everyone...I have exciting news!!

My husband finally got the letter on the mail for the sponsorship approval, so we can now confirm it was approved on July 30th...
and also I just minutes ago I was checking my email inbox and to my surprise (big surprise) I had an email from VO Mexico City!! So I have my AOR aswell, it was sent on Aug. 10th, they mention that a letter its on its way too with more details and INFO. Apparently they had also include intructions to get my Mexican police certificate.

Congratulations to all who are starting to get their approvals and patience to those who are still waiting, soon you will be as happy as I am right now.

Congrats Galmxcan... quick question - what is the name of sender that emailed you? I'm afraid that I could get one too , but fall into my junkmail in the midst of 100's of crap emails.

I received the letter yesterday (so took 5 business days). I was approved and the package was sent to Guatemala.

What is the next step- and do I receive confirmation of its delivery?

Thank you lynw! I'm trying to be patient but I'm finding myself checking the e-CAS page at least twice a day just in case anything changed again. Oh well, I know it'll take some time to get some news...

I am going to have no fingernails left by the end of this process...only on the first stage and they are wearing thin! LOL!

On the plus side to keep my mind off it, the condo my hubby and I (well me since he has no credit in Canada for the mortgage) bought closed yesterday and we are going in for the first time tonight after work when he gets here. Sooooo excited! Spending the weekend shopping and cleaning the place up so we can get cracking on making it perfect for when he moves up here.

Any day now....I didn't think I would be so anxious but I check this darn e-cas stuff WAY too many times a day. I wish they would just update that one chart that says July 2nd and then I would know for sure that they have got to my app even though I pretty much can assume they are working on it as we speak (or type,lol) Congrats to those ahead of me but one quick question, was does AOR stand for?

acknowledgment of Receipt - once Buffalo starts processing they will send this to you from what I understand, but your file may also sit in Buff for WEEKS before you get any sort of AOR/notice in the mail

yeah, the column that says AOR is likely meant to be "sponsorship approved", because I doubt many of the people whose sponsorship has been approved and file transferred have actually gotten correspondence from their visa office yet.

I too can't wait until they update the processing time. I'm hoping that, like last time, the delay in updating means they are processing two weeks at a time, so maybe next week it will skip ahead to being applications received July 16th...a girl can hope, anyways....

Just got my FBI clearance. Yay and in way faster timing then when I requested it the first time then got rejected.
They received it July 9, 2010 and I got it today August 13, 2010.
Might not be all that great of news to share but I am happy. That is the best news I am going to get for another month or so...

It actually looks like July apps are actually moving faster than May and June , just looks like that which is a good thing.

Hi Stevedominic, well in my case the sender was re-mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and the subject had my name and the Bxxxxxxxx number.

Then it said that the email refered to my application of PR and to open the letter attached, when i opened it it said "We acknowledge receipt of your application for permanent residence under the family class
category" a letter was also sent by mail and if I didnt get it in 60 days to contact them.

They also mentioned that In case they request any additional documents...

"Our office will not confirm the reception of documents or communications.
We do not respond to faxes or e-mails requesting case status unless the estimated time frames have
passed and if you have not been informed of further requirements. If necessary, our office
will contact you by e-mail or telephone."
But I think that could only be how Mexico´s Visa office works not sure if with Guatemala or any other VO is the same

Ecas says this morning that a decision was made & letter sent 8/12.

They however have the rcv'd date of my application as 7/13 (it was accepted by CIC on the 12th mail wise).
I hope I get my stickers from Buffalo soon, my FBI cert will no longer be valid soon. 7/8 gives me till 10/8

I am so happy they're approving sponsors in about a month! I wonder why they're not posting that on the site. Maybe so people won't complain if it does fall at 42 days?
