thanks everyone for the good wishes! Quite excited now!

And I wouldn't worry, Computer - like the others said, I don't think it'll always say everything on e-cas. Ours didn't - it just says 'decision made', I'm just assuming that it was a good decision and now it's been sent on to where it needs to go!

we sent our application on Jan 12th. received on 13. Decision MADE on Jan 29th!

I am also waiting for decision made letter sent on Feb.1, 2010. I hope i will get soon as i am not too far from Mississauga just 30 minute drive. Depending upon where u live, u will be getting letter soon. Thanks

Hi Everyone
Waiting is very hard. CPC-Mississauga should have system like emailing status of Approval to the client's Email Address even before we get the letter in the mail.

Guys what i can say is everyone will be ok.

The only thing one can or should worry about is when they send your application back ie

Let say u send yr application today ie 3/02/2010 and aroud the 18-20 of Feb u dont get the application back for errors or mistakes, then it means everything is good. at times they update quick at times they dont.

I am sure a few ppl r waiting for letters but dont worry, was u can track yr application by the way u posted it or send it and it has been recd, just give yr sef 2 weeks n if u dont hear anything give it another 10 days u will will have a decision made..

I had my application sent on the 21 of Dec n was recd on 23rd of Dec, process started n decision was made all on the 13th of Jan 2010, n letter sent on the 13th of jan I recd the letter on the 18th of Jan I live 5 mins from the Miss CPC. n was also sent to London on the same 13th My Ecas says nothing as I want to give myself a month it ot sent here ie LONDON..
If we read the CIC timeline it gives u the average tieline so let use the average timeline ok..
We will all be fine for 2010.. is a yr of recovery...

They've had my application at Mississauga since January 15th, but no word yet. And nothing is showing up on the CIC website.

(I've tried logging into the CIC "check the status of my application" thing with both my "Client ID" number that's on my visitors' record -- which the CIC hotline said they would work -- and with the payment-receipt number, tho I'm not sure if that's supposed to work or not.)

Ur application is under the normal processing time. It will take atleast 3 weeks before its status appears on E-CAS. Thanks

Computer1680: That's the official time-line I heard, too .. .. but I noticed others on this thread were notified of either "processing" or "decision made" in less than three weeks: "Life Is Beautiful" had an application received by Mississauga on January 13th, and they were approved on January 29th (16 days); and you report that yours began processing 18 days after it was received.... so I was beginning to wonder if mine would go as quickly. ;D

I hope ur application status will be up next week. Wait wait...............Not all applications are processed with same time-frame. Look in my case they started processing my application on Jan.18, 2010 and the decision was made on Feb.1, 2010. But most of threads i saw, when CPC-Mississauga started processing application, same day they made decision and letter sent. I know its very hard to wait but u have to wait..............

I think it'll probably show up in the next few days/next week for you. Ours was about 21 days but we didn't find out on e-cas until 24 days. It's probably just different people dealing with different applications and who work at different speeds. In our case I was worried because there were applications that arrived after ours and processed before, but I think that was maybe because I (sponsor) live outside Canada so maybe they had more checking to do? I'm sure it'll be there soon for you, but it is definitely easier said than done to be patient! lol!
