I don't think why the consultants give wrong advice
You can travel anywhere during this period.

I had been to Canada for 45 days

When I applied for tourist visa, I mentioned that my PR immigration visa application is in process.
Even then they approved my tourist visa.

OK DBC. I WILL INFORM ABOUT MY MOVEMENTS TO CHC ND.
SEE, MY 2ND AOR DATE IS 5TH JULY 2010, SO IF WE COUNT 14 MONTHS, I COULD GET THE VISA BY MAX 5TH SEPT 2011.
SO ONLY 3 MONTHS REMAINING. I THINK I SHOULD NOT TAKE ANY UNNECESSARY RISK AT THIS STAGE.
ANYWAYS, IF I GET THE PR VISA, I CAN ALWAYS STUDY WHATEVER I WANT IN CANADA, RIGHT ?
WHAT WOULD U DO IN MY PLACE ?

iTS NOT 2 yRS ITS 14 MONTHS FROM FULL DOC SUBMISSION
14 months is the actual time that 80% applications have taken at New Delhi Visa Office to reach the final decision, it no way implies that future applications will be processed in this time frame !! The fact is that all processing times stated on CIC website are for applications that were processed in the last quarter & given a final decision, so it has no bearing on the time it will take in the future to process applications hereon.
So when they say 2 years it is their estimate & therefore henceforth in all subsequent quarterly updates, the processing times will keeping increasing till it reaches 24 months (projected).

Why are you so negative?
Can you give the links from where you got "80%" mentioned in your comment.
Where is the question of future applications? They are under Post June category, and the time frame for them is totally different from us.
What made you say that "The fact is that all processing times stated on CIC website are for applications that were processed in the last quarter & given a final decision, so it has no bearing on the time it will take in the future to process applications hereon.". Don't make people panic for no reason.
And finally the worst comment on the blog "So when they say 2 years it is their estimate & therefore henceforth in all subsequent quarterly updates, the processing times will keeping increasing till it reaches 24 months (projected)."

Very sorry for you. Even if you get offended by my reply, just understand that you deserve it.

Dear Friends,

Do not be negative...dont even think of anything wrong. If your case is genuine, you will get visa for sure. CHC will have to process all the application they received but it can take a little bit of time, so have patience. I got my visa today after 20 months of total time. I sent my full documents last March 2010. Everybody will get visa for sure..believe me and have faith in god. Dont quarrel over these issues and concentrate on helping others who have problem in something.

Best of luck..

Before reacting so fast, you should get your facts right:

1. See this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

2. Read this sentence carefully on the top of this page:

"The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices outside Canada. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. Processing times are subject to change."

3. Their is no time frame for post 26 June applicants. All this data pertains to only MI-1 & SAP applicants.

4. These are quarterly updates (read the page carefully). So they will change once again somewhere in July/August 2011.

5. Where is the negativity in this Post?? In fact I explained in another post that 35,000 Visas are available for MI-1 & SAP applicants. Pls. read this:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/file-xfer-to-nd-chc-for-aprilmayjune-2010-t55055.675.html

However I take no offense to your comments. I have become used to this on the forum. Somehow I have realized that speaking logically & not being emotional in your posts is not liked by people.

Rgds,
Yukon

Recieved answer to the CSQ send on 15th MAy 2011:-

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

This application was received at our office on 11 Mar10. Since you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period. However, If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees.
* Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.
* During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.
* This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Its clear that this a general feedback they have started giving to FSW applicants in MI 1.

The catch here is that people with RBVO are only eligible for refund. Those who have In Process (with or without date) are not eligible for refund. So this is all bull....about refunds!

Yukon,
U mean to say that applicants who are inprocess with RBVO will be processed at first instance.
libra
Can't say for sure, but maybe....
However NDVO is known to defy all logic !!
Anybody may be processed this year, it all depends on their ministerial instructions, NOC's in demand, applications with no red flags etc.
The queue concept maybe somewhat diluted & we may see few cases of later dates getting processed.
Again this is my assumption & observation & maybe incorrect.

dear all

im quoting from the post of meetsmeet above (the reply by NDVO for his CSQ)-

" *During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.
*This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed"

which office received this no. of apps.? Nova Scotia or NDVO?
i guess the NS.
as the NDVO can not receive Preliminary application at all.

Impt. fact---->>>we all here are basically the cases who's FILE was Transfered from NS to NDVO.

as NS is the Clearing & Tapping authority on receiving More (or less) than Sufficient Applications (by this, I mean the Limit set for the no. of Immigrants) in a particular period,
the Full App. Packages (like we sent to NDVO) can not go BEYOND
the Sufficient or Set Limit (made by the Immi. Canada only).

How come they received and Okayed more than necessary applications at Nova Scotia????

so that they can get into a situation where they themself has to STATE their is a huge Backlog,

and would start increasing the ACTUAL Processing Period, as mentioned by them on the 2nd AOR they write?

I am sure Immi. Canada won't do "aa bail, mujhe maar"!!!

and if they have Factually received Over applications (@ NS), then they themselves are to be blamed.

Bottom line is--------
Why they Cleared more app. at NS office and also requested Full App. Package by Transfering Files to NDVO (or other local VO all over the world)

other ques. coming to my mind-----Did they need more money (which we send @ NS), did they want to involve and block more and more applicants for their country, so that they can t shift to another country?

Hence, what i can analyse is, NDVO's aforesaid reason is again a hogwash.

another ques. -
when they are stating via CSQ replies that it will take 2 yrs approx, why their website is stating 14 months for 80% cases.

suggestions are welcome friends.

it'll be better if we do not criticize each others' Analysis....rather help each other to make out a genuine picture.
