hi, can anyone answer me ?

1. for the things to follow list , is there any format required that I should download from the internet ? Or I can just make the list from an excel spreadsheet ?

2. how detailed should the list be ? If I bring 10 shirts, do I need to write 10 shirts and the value of each ? Or should I just need to write the value of expensive goods like computer, phone and jewelleries ?

3. I will land at Alberta, although I dont need to wait for 3 months for the health coverage, there must be a few days pass until i apply for the health coverage at the centre. Should i get the travel insurance for 2 weeks in my home country ? I am travelling with my baby, so especially concerned if she may fall sick ...

thanks a lot

1. yes, google "B4 goods to follow form Canada" and you'll find a pdf of it. there is also a form called B4a in case you need additional room for your items.
2. it doesn't need to be completely detailed. if you have 2 suitcases of clothes, you can write 2 suitcases of clothes and provide a value for the entire lot. if you have 3 boxes of house hold goods, then you write 3 boxes of household goods and write a value. If you have large electronics, you want to list them separately and provide serial numbers. any costume jewlery can be grouped together and given a value for the lot. you don't have to declare jewelry you are wearing (ie: wedding rings). if you have insurable/expensive jewelry other than what you are wearing, then you will want to take pictures and list it separately with the value.
3. there is nothing wrong with getting travel insurance until you get covered by provincial healthcare. there are many options available.

Thanks.

One more question -

If I bring more than cad10000 cash, this would be fine as long as I tell this to the officer when I land ?
And I will wire around cad 30000 to my new bank account in Canada, do I need to bring this up when I land ? I am afraid if there is any tax issue for the money transfer.

You can bring as much cash as you like but it must be declared. I would mention the 30k transfer, but I don't think it's mandatory.

I'm sure when you wire the money you'll have to provide a reason/description/declaration of some kind because it's over the 10k
