App received: July 30,2013
SA: August 27,2013
Med: June 17,3013 but base on our gcms note they extended it to July 5,2014
PPR: April 28,2014. Beronia received my passport on May 1
In-process: May 1,2014
DM: May 9,2014

I really wish mrs alvaro but theres no changes on my ecas ever since they received my passport. Ill just hope and pray that just like you they will just deliver my passport w/visa even without updating the ecas.

I requested a visa pick up sis. Think positive sis. Your visa will arrive sooner than you think it will be. Just keep checking ECAS this weekend and onwards. Cheer up

If you have any person other than your husband give them authorization letter.. if they cannot find your address.. they will call you. just like what happen to a July applicant in FB.. she was called by the courier.. then the other day they deliver the visa... but you can ask the courier to pick up in the branch..

Yes, I also requested passport pick-up because my mailing address is our office address and i was worried that they will deliver it on weekends and the guards might not receive it
properly.it's recommended also because CEM will let you check your copr and visa for corrections and mistakes so they can change it immediately if you find one.

hello beth im actually writing a letter to the embassy for a passport pick up. Because it would be more convenient on my part.. Even if i dont know the status of my application..

Im not really sure beth maybe it depends on the VO processing our papers and some applicant like margaux23 ddnt receive any update in ecas until her passport was delivered to her.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of this! Is this a mandatory thing for everyone leaving permanently from the Philippines to do? Would certainly add another time consuming & costly step to the process at any rate. Clarifications appreciated! Thanks.

Yes... It is the final step it is only take 3 hours 9-12PM..just to get the sticker to be put on the passport..they fly on the same day (afternoon or night)

Ah ok, thanks. Good thing I was reading this thread, have never heard anything about that. Is it done in the airport or must the traveller(s) go to the office in Manila? Means my wife & son may have to plan for an extra night in Manila before leaving (they'll be coming from Bicol). This also might take care of another nagging question we've had, i.e. my wife leaving the Phils with her son (who is not mine biologically). According to article 176 of the Philippine family law code my wife has full custody of the boy because he is "illegitimate". Our stress point is that CIC may get pissy and ask for a full judgement of custody anyway, which can take months. I think I'll write to the CFO email and ask their opinion as well. Thanks again for bringing this up anyway.

Funny, it says that they started processing the app May 13 when it was only recieved today im not complaining- thank God we are getting close
