The background checking from Hongkong CIC office

Hey, guys,

Here is my timeline:
Category........: PNP
Visa Office......: Hongkong
App. Filed.......: Applied for SINP in Feb 2011
Nomination.....: April-2013
File Transfer...: April1-2013 to HK
Med's Request: 19 Sep 2013
Med's Received: 10 Oct 2013
Passport Req..: 19 Nov 2013

Dec 2013, I sent an email to HK CIC, they told me
" Please be advised that case is pending result of background checks. These checks may sometimes be lengthy. We will notify you in writing once we receive the results."

I stayed in Europe for one year and now in Canada.
Do anyone know when the background check started and how long the background check will last?
is there anyone who have the same timeline or same experience?

I'm also under provincial nominee processing status in Hong Kong visa office, I received the same email as yours.
On Jan 2, I received an email asking me to provide RCMP( police clearance certificate from Canada). I have been to some countries and stayed there about several months but never longer than 6 months.

Got nomination on Oct, 2012
submitted police clearance certificate from China, medical exam and PRP fee on Jan 2013.
Attended interview in Hong Kong on Nov 18,2013
I submitted the RCMP as requested Feb 29, 2014.
Now I am still waiting for PPR.
