+1 for your answer. Thank you
Perfect.

1) So do I need to add Bachelor education at the time of filling my EE profile? I think I should just upload it while submitting eAPR. Is that right?
YEs. Just upload it when you file.

2) I have one confusion. From my learning I have found that selection of NOC depends on job duties instead of job title. Right?
Job title is not that important, but the job duties are.

I have Bachelor in Civil Engineering i.e. NOC 2131 . But being a Civil Engineer you can work in various fields of civil engineering as Geotechnical Engineer which was my title and one of the title stated under NOC 2144 i.e. Geological Engineer. So that's why I decided to go for NOC 2144 instead of 2131 as my job title and duties goes under 2144. But requirement of NOC 2144 states "Bachelor degree in Geological Engineering or related field" & both NOCs, the Civil Engineer and Geological Engineer are in the exclusion list of each other.

So If I select 2144 then can I show my Bachelor in Civil Engineering (as it is in the exclusion of 2144)?
While selecting your NOC, it is the job duties that are most important. Some jobs will overlap with other NOC so chose the NOC which best matches your job duties and if there is an exclusion list, make sure you add a LoE and mention that in your case both NOCs are applicable and you are choosing the one which most closely matches your job duties even though you can chose the other one too.

I hope I have cleared my question,

Thank you for your help,

If am a canadian graduate and completed my degree but confer date is still in June. Would I still get the 30 points for Canadian degree?

Even If I chose "no" for the question "has X been awarded a canadian degree or certificate for the period of study?"
As a rule of thumb, it is the date when the degree is conferred or awarded which is of relevance. If that date is in future, you cannot claim points for that. This is because until the degree is conferred, you are legally not allowed to claim that you have obtained that degree. Only when your education institution certified that you have met the requirements, that you can claim points for that.

So wait a few days before you file your application.

Hi Legalfalcon

Its very nice of you to promptly reply to all queries.I have posted my query in different thread but got contradictory answers.Hence I am asking you the same so that my doubts are cleared

1. Regarding education history secondary education has been asked for in the PR application. I understand it means 10 th and 12th . I am unsure what to fill in the field of study and number of academic years question. Please provide me info about it

2.I am the primary applicant and my husband had a study permit rejection in 2014.I believe its better to submit Schedule A upfront. In the Schedule A should I fill the answers to question no 6 related to study permit refusal or should I fill in answers for all the remaining questions also. I was planning to write NA for other questions.

3.Should I fill the form by hand and upload it?

Thanks in advance

Which country are you from?

Sec A is not required from all applicants. Only a few applicants get request for Sec A. So do not file Sec unless asked for.

3.Should I fill the form by hand and upload it?

Thanks in advance

Usually it takes 7-10 days before you would know. The only sure shot way is GCMS, but you can try calling and also try sending an email asking if your request for extension has been granted.

+1 for your help man. Thanks.

As both NOCs are in the exclusion list of each other. So If I select NOC 2144 (most relevant) then my education seems to be irrelevant with that.

It mean I should just mention it in LOE about this exclusion?

NOTE: Geotechnical Engineering is a branch of Civil Engineering but its duties majorly come under Geological Engineering NOC

Thank you for your help

Hi all,
I have posted this in another discussion as well. My file is currently in cpc ottawa.

I got my second gcms note today...
eligibility-review required
medicals and criminality passed
security not started.
Last page of notes show:

Case Analyst -REVIEW REQUIRED, A11.2 -appear met, criminality met, FSW points/funds- appear met, Ready to finalize RPRF-Complete, however it says R75-FSW minimum requirement- Review required
I got my first gcms in april and eligibility was passed so i don't know why the new recommendation.

At what point does the case analyst come in contact with one's file? I did not see this review required in my first gcms note in April....please do you think it is ok to call and ask why review is required for eligibility considering there is no contrary note in my second gcms

Thank you, I will move it to the personal history and just explain it in the LOE that it does not affect my crs score instead of declining invitation

Dear Legalfalcon,

I have 3 more queries :

1. My wife (Primary Applicant) has her experience as follows :

(A) NOC 4032 – July 2004 to January 2006

(B) NOC 4032 – April 2006 till date

Both these experiences were mentioned in the EE Profile.

For Experience (A), I only have the joining and relieving letter – no pay stubs, no job responsibilities etc. Will not be able to arrange the reference letter as this experience it is too old now (11 years old).

Please let me know what will be more suitable – removing this experience from the PR Application

Or moving this to Personal History and explaining in LoE

Or Simply attach the joining and relieving letters for the job (A).

2. Regarding change in surname of my wife (PA) after marriage, I am attaching the following documents as proof of change of name – Marriage Certificate, copy of her old passport, which has her pre-marriage surname and an explanation in LoE. Do I need to submit some affidavit as well?

3. I renewed my passport in 2013. The old passport also has visa stamps for travel undertaken in the last 10 years. I will be uploading these visa stamps as mentioned in my last 10 years travel history. Do I need to upload the biodata pages of this old passport as well?

Thanks!
