In a typical day I might visit France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. If I could remeber all the detail (which I can't) I might be looking at over 2,000 border crossings during the four years. How should I fill in this form?

It is quiet complicated, if I were you I would use my passport in and out stamping detail to compile the form.

Don't take my word to be 100% correct, try and log your inquiry into other forum that are well used to get concrete answer instead of your own, it would not fetch you more responses.

travel outside of your country during this period, check "did not travel".
For example: 6 days - Madrid, Spain, Business

The best you can do is to use your passport In and Out stamp detail to compile your travelling history, if its applies.
