I am planning to apply for Super Visa for my parents (who are in India right now).
My dad had a heart attack last month and is on medication and is stable. He also has Diabetes. My mom has no health issues. They are both under 60 yrs.

My question is are there any insurance companies who can provide super visa insurance coverage for urgent medical care for my father's condition? We are open to exploring all types of options including buying Insurance from Indian companies or getting a comprehensive coverage for my father so that if he has to go for regular checkups in Canada or if we are better off buying some kind of visitor insurance and visitor visa for now and later apply for Super Visa when they are in the country.

Suggestions please.

As far as your mom, there is no problem getting her insured. As for your dad, most companies will not sell him insurance because in their eligibility sections it states that a person is not eligible for the insurance if he had a heart attack in the last 12 months. Buying insurance from India will not work for the super visa, because CIC requires insurance from a Canadian company. If you send me a private message I can try to help you with your dad's plan. We work with all insurance companies, so I can double check each plan.

PM sent.

Also can does anyone know if my dad will be able to clear the medical tests required for supervisa, given his recent heart attack?
Or should we just go with Visitor Visa now and later when my parents are in Canada, apply for supervisa from here?
