Study permit rejected...shud I apply under general category?

Yes I have applied for caips...but as u said ..now if I change course n apply Wudnt that seem legitimate?..ie can vo now doubt my intent?....and the rejection reason I got was that the course din suit my profile ..so now can I assume that vo had no problem with my education gap...or if am Bonafide student etc?...cos I fear if reapply based on caips he may reject me on other grounds

how do you know its rejected? is it updated on portal or do you got passport.

you got letter from cic stating (you visa is refused) or updated in portal? what are the updates you got in portal before refusal and after refusal? please let me know, it will be so helpful!

No man. They haven't stated that your course is not relevant. They mean to say that the course that you have selected to do is not fine beacuse of your low qualifications and backlogs in previous studies . Well this is a veryyyyy common rejection reason and you will get vlarity only in caips note. Rest no one can say why you got rejected by this reason. We can only assume.

Hi all,

I recently got a study permit reject with the VO not satisfied with the course I chose... below is my profile
10th: 72
12th : 73
B.tech : 68 (6 backlogs)
Have around 7 years of experience in IT INDUSTRY
IELTS : L 8.5/RW 7 / S 8.. overall 7.5
Course applied : International systems business analysis @ GBC Toronto....it's a PGDC course
Gic and 1st semester fee paid

Now here's the thing...I can't apply for University cos of my backlogs and I don't think at this stage of my career I could afford to take a 2 yr break..so I've decided to apply for Project Management (PGDC) in the same college.....Need Ur inputs...Wat options am k I left with and wats the chance of getting a study permit?

Mine was the same case at 2014. BE 6 backlogs. Applied for business course got rejected others reason. Applied again with same course changed sop thinking if i change my course vo will say u just want to enter canada. However, got rejected again

I would suggest dont apply with same course. And who told you that because of 6 backlogs u cannot study in univ. Its not true. There are still few univ. where u ll get admission.

I was contemplating abt choosing another course which suits my profile more...but am not in a position to opt for univs cos of financial issues....some say with my experience ie gap in studies it's not easy to get Visa with pgdc...am planning to try with pgdc in project management
