study permit query??

hi

I was granted my 1 year study visa at the port of entry on sunday 23rd jan. It says on my student permit on the conditions part that i am permitted to attend the college specifed by the immigration officer but i thought that all student visa's in canada since 2005 allow people to change there course throughout there year. Can i change my course during the year if i want?

Course change without notifying CIC:

Allowed - if you're studying at post secondary level,
Not Allowed - if you're a secondary level student.
