Study Permit Extension (April 2022)

Hello Everyone,

I applied for a study permit extension on 22 January 2022, it has been over three months, and no response. I have a job lined up starting on 20 May 2022 which I can't start without applying for PGWP with a VALID study permit. Can people share their timelines? Did anyone receive their extension yet ? IRCC is risking my source of income, I am very concerned

Applied on 13 January 2022 along with co-op permit. still no updates yet.

If you are okay to share if I may ask, when was your expiry and how many months you asked for the extension?

My sp was set to expire on April 20 and I applied on March 19, and I just needed a bridging permit for pgwp so I asked for 1 month extension but I got 6 months

I have applied for sp extension along with spouse owp extension on Feb 15th but still no update, that's why curious.

i had a similar experience in dec 2022 extension. they took 5 months to approve SP, so I had to push back job start date.
