Hi everyone,

In 2005 when my Common Law wife became terminally ill, I traveled on a forged passport from the UK, where my application for PR was being processed under the fourteen years rule, to Japan. I was arrested after she passed away, luckily, then taken to Court and was given a suspended sentence on humanitarian grounds and subsequently deported to my home country. Recently I have enrolled on a three years course in Canada and submitted an application for Study Permit. I will be accompanied by my Singaporean wife who will be renting out her property for the duration of my studies. Could someone please tell me if my previous travel history will affect my application this time because it already had when I applied last December for a student visa to Australia with no chance of appeal.

Please give me yours thoughts

Cheers
