Which option will be better

Apply student visa with spouse or
Apply alone first !!

Not yet still preparing required documents

My case is as similar as yours , collecting required documents. Still confused which one visa will be better for spouse !!

I think Spouse visa should be open work visa, so that spouse can also help financially.

i have just got my dependent visa (owp).
I have applied separately but at last after 4 months i did received it.
my opinion is to better to apply together

I just applied for the both---

SP for me and TRV for my wife. So far I know the OWP can also be applied once when u r in Canada.
