Student Visa permit application. Is it easier if you have an agent? or Is it also okay if you apply on your own?

Hello! I am planning pf having my eldest son come to Canada and study here. I sponsored him before but he did not want to come, He is now overage ad wants to come, I am thinking of making him come on a students visa, finish at least 2 years of post secondary education and apply for PR. it depends on weather what the situation is. its better to use IRCC certified agent while applying for the study permit but you can also apply by yourself its not difficult
