Student / Tourist Visa

Hi everyone,

Hope all are doing good. I live in Canada and want to apply for a visit visa for my mum. My brother is also applying for student visa. My question is: is there a chance to get rejected for either of the visa as there will be no one back home if they both apply?

Any expert's suggestions/comments are appreciated.

There is always a possibility of rejection regarding all types of visa. So prepare foreseeing the worst that could happen
