sorry brother its all about time 50-50 some my friends wife got rejected on visitor application, some of them including me got rejected on open permit we r all in canada under WP.every body more or less same kind situation. my opinion is if you have more more ties to your country apply single entry and very very short time visit visa. of course once you granted visa for a month its more than enough. you will get open permit at the time your entry in canada same period as your wife study permit.

yes, you need to invitation letter from your wife and her study permit copy,
you can apply at any time after the rfl,( even i dont want that f*** word to type i know that word contain tons of dream and pain. my suggestion is prepare well and analyse your status in negative manor so that u can find positive result, all the best. this time you r married, your wife is n canada so obviously your family tie to home country is weak.so consider that too, all the best,,,

May be I am helpful as far as some info required in ur case

Shortly,

I was international student in canada
I invited my wife on visitor visa
she was issued visa on very first attempt
Now ,when she reached canada ,i applied for her extension and they issue her 2 more years stay.

Well ,to apply for spouse visa --i sent them following

1-University Letter that i am full time student --ur wife can get this from her university --Administration office /international student office
2- transcript from university which show i am in good standing --if ur wife has good standings then it would be helpful
3- My bank statement from canada ---as i was sponsoring my wife ---around 20K--with account history of 6 months
4- Nikah(marriage certificate ) in English ----
5- statement of purpose ---where i showed them, me and my wife would be heading back after study ---I explained them in very short and explicit way that why i am asking her to come here and why she need to come her---make story but should be realistic ---

i think thats it --------

most important think in ur case is tht u should show ur ties with ur home country ----its must must thing--thr are different ways

hopefully ,i answered wht u r looking

best of luck

Hi Unaseem

I am a student enrolled in a two year program in Canada. I am at present in my second semester. I actually went for my summer vacations and got married. I then applied for a visitng visa for my husband for just a month and showed 10,000 dollars in my account as well as 10,000 dollars in his account in India. He also got letter of leave from his work place and showd all the house documents as he owns a house and showed that he has all his relatives, parents and grandparents there in India. I also got letter of accomodation from my landlord saying they have no objection for letting him stay. Even after all this his visa got rejected and I am so upset. I have no clue why they did that. I seriously cant stay away from him and I wanna apply again. Does applying after getting an off campus work permit for me help? Please tell me what else can be shown so that this time it gets accepted. Please please advice. I will be really grateful.

well, i have just read ur views abt da rejection of ur husband trv, bt problem is, whn u get married wid ur husband u applied his visa so soon, means he has 2 wait atleast 3-4 months, bcoz visa officer thinks, u just get married n left for canada, ur husband is definately coming der for stay only, in my case my wife went 2 canada after 1 year of our marriage, n evn m goin 2 try after 4 months or completeion of 1st sem, so only solution is he has 2 wait, by da way wht was da reason given 2 him for refusal

He was told that he doesnt have a travel history and that they dont think he will go back and his purpose of visit is not clear. How can someone have a travel history if the embassy doesnt give visa at all? I just wish he could come but my bad luck I guess. I am so depressed. Please advice something how to go about it again. Please please :(

well i can understand in wht situation u r, if v talk abt travel history, it means person shld hve visited 2 other countries as well before visiting 2 canada, suppose if person visited few countries before app[lyin for trv, it makes sure tht person came back 2 his home country which shows tie-ups wid home country, rest wid purpose of visit, acc to me he shld apply after 3 months atleast bcoz after 3 months he will b able 2 explain his purpose of visit der r few reasons, dnt b in hurry, specially in da case of canadian high commission, so b patient

i am full-time student in canada.
my husband applied for visitor visa but his application was rejected on the basis of the following reasons:
  • your travel history
your family ties in canada and in your country of residence
    purpos e of visit
limited employment prospects in your coutry of residence
    your current employment situation
my husband is working in UAE and his some immediate family members are in canada (his father, younger brother, and one sister)....
they are canadian permanent residents. his one brother is in pakistan with his family(wife & child). though mother is also permanent resident in canada but have gone back to pakistan & doing her government job...
my husband is doing his job from 10 years in UAE.

please guide me what should we do now????

we are thinking to re-apply but CHC haven't sent back all of the documents. do we need to re-submit all of those documents including
police clearance certificates, marriage certificate, job certificates etc etc???

should we apply for open work permit??
what should we explain in our letter???

any additional information???
