Hi everyone,
Have a question regarding the outland application process. I am sponsoring my wife who lives in Buenos Aires. (Application arrived CIC via tracking Nov 8) I live there also and have for the last 10 years. I have made arrangements to be back in canada in the spring of 2013. If my wife visits canada in july of 2013, I understand that she could apply to get her visa extended if she provides proof of her PR application in process. I understand that if an interview was requested she would have to go back to the Buenos Aires VO for the interview, but what happens if a interview is not requested. Since she is already in canada would she still have to supply her passport to the Vo in Buenos Aires and recieve the PR visa or would she be able to apply for her PR card and remain in Canada?

The tricky part is going to be getting her the TRV to get here in the first place alot are denied as they don't believe they will leave when their visit is over especially since they are married to a Canadian.

Ya I guess so. Especially if our children enter canada on their Canadian passports. I guess the best thing would be for them to enter on Argentine passports. As for the married to a Canadian....wasn't going to bring it up. She entered canada back in 2005 on a written invitation from my mom. So i figured that woul;d be the way to go this time as well....
Thanks for the replys to my questions Creampop.

If you try to use the children's Argentine passports they going to need TRV's to and then they gonna ask why the children not using their Canadian passports since they Canadian. I wouldn't go that route I would use their Canadian passports. just because the VO is posting 14 months doesn't mean it will take that long from what I have gathered you have a straight forward case been together awhile got kids that right there proves solid relationship long as her police check is clear and she can't get anyone in Canada sick lol then it will probably be quicker then you think when I applied posting times were 3 months for sponsorship approval and 12 months for stage 2 so 15 months total and I landed on exact month 7 so half the time. Good Luck!

Thanks Creampop,
Ya the 14 month timeline after I get sponsorship approval has me a bit worried but I think our application is pretty straight forward as we have been married and living together for the last 10 years and have two little brats as well. There is no doubt we are a family unit. Just have to wait and see I guess. :)
