Hi, my partner and I got married about 4 months ago and we're almost ready to send in the application.
In the check list, it says that he should provide this statutory declaration saying that he's no longer in a common-law relationship with his ex.
Do we really need to send that in since we are married??

Thank you.

I would not chance it. He should make a statutory declaration. I was in a common-law relationship previously and had one done. It does not take long to do it... To avoid any delays or problems, I strongly recommend it. Sometimes, cases get refused for what seemed to be a small issue...
