Hi guys,

It's me again. I applied a tourist visa for my wife on Mar 28 and still have no decision yet. Today, I saw there were some changes with her status:

1. First time we see her UCI

2. Review of additional documents: We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details.

However, we have no messages or emails to tell us what is needed. Is it a common mistake by CIC? I previously used the webform to upload some additional documents but never get a response. Please feel free to comment. Thanks.

Hi,

Based on what we're seeing today, some members have similar situations to what you're facing..... ranging from passport requests but no passport request letter to..... a 'Review of eligibility' update that states s/he does not meet the eligibility requirements but the 'Final decision' update says 'in progress'.

IRCC is probably upgrading MyCIC/online services. I suggest you wait for 24-48 hours for any new updates

Thanks for you advice. What's the longest wait for tourist TRV so far you have seen? It has been almost 70 days for my wife's visa. I suspect it's because she had worked in the government before...

There's a thread by 'Prayas'. A number of ex-defense services applicants (India) have been waiting since August last year.

And yesterday, someone posted that his in-laws had applied for TRVs in May 2015 (his father-in-law is a retired police officer, Pakistan applicants). This one seems like a one-off exceptional case for background checks.

Hopefully it won't take this long for your wife's visa

I just checked on my husband's online account and it says the same thing regarding additional doc..no email or msgs..very confusing. we are June 6th, 2016 applicant NBI VO..the wait sucks big time.

I am in the same situation with my husbands. I check very often the status and messages link. And yesterday it changed the whole look of the page so they must be doing some type of updates.... because it is very slow to get into also.

I have submitted the passports on PPR but i saw yesterday , me too getting this message. they are making mess of it.

Yeah it's a total bloody mess.

I got Final Decision: Your application was approved, please send passport and a day later rows added about 'we are assessing your eligibility' and 'we are assessing your additional documents (I didn't send any).

Fairly nerve wracking.
