I’m in the process of applying for spousal visa for my husband. My husband does not have a birth certificate from his place of birth (India). He lives in Australia now and He has always used his school leaving certificate which has the date of birth on it, as proof of DOB. I wanted to know if it’s okay to submit the leaving certificate (instead of actual birth certificate) to CIC, with a letter of explanation?
