Hi all,

Trying to find where it is quoted that you have to supply a copy of the lease for the application. Can anyone push me in the right direction and if there any requirements?

Hi

It's not a required document. Some people don't have a joint lease, such as a person who moves in with a partner who already owns their own home. A lease is just one of the suggested documents for proving a common-law relationship, and for proving a genuine relationship.

For example, on IMM5490, question 20, asks for evidence of your common-law relationship. It gives examples, including a rental agreement.
