Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I received an email one hour ago that I should send them a police certificate for my spouse. I sent it with my files in the beginning.
I don't understand at the same time why they asked me about this certificate as I didn't receive my approval about a sponsorship. because as I know this certificate is needed for the second step (residence permanent)
Please can anyone help me to understand if it's normal.

Many utilize this and many other forums for clarification and guidance and at times post questions in anxious moments as they have not yet had time to read the rest of the updates - a simple response (as has been done before) can ease a worried/anxious mind.... this can be and is a very stressful process for many and we never know what else a person is dealing with...
If this message was intended for me, I would like to point out the number of times I have done exactly what you asked since 8am yesterday am (Eastern) regarding PCC's:

Now, I understand that it can be a bit laborous to wade through some of the posts in the 2016 thread, so I would like to offer a service to search that for you: Google. If you type in "PCC site:canadavisa.com" it can narrow the search results to anywhere anyone talked about a PCC. If you want inland, add the keyword inland to before the site definition.

HTH!

rant!!! rant again!!! (smiling)
Anxiety???
So i called IRCC, calmed myself down,
after some 5 tires I got through.
Got a very nice agent, and i walked her through my concern(s)
I tried not to react lol
I was quite cool and she was quite understanding
like me she was very confused!!!
i was very timely, just to ensure i wasnt the reason for her being confused
but rather the strange request.
So i gave her my relevant information and answered some questions to validate my account.

REMEMBER THOSE TWO FORMS I PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED HERE?
IMM5406 AND IMM5669
UPLOADED MARCH 23,2017
they havent been posted to my file/account so i guess i need to send a 2nd hard copy.

wrt police clearance and other informationn wrt
police officer in Afghanistan

the question to me was "are you sure you have never been to Afghanistan?'
my response "no, never"
Well we did send that email and I just want to apologise for the confusion, but you need to write and letter detailing bla bla bla
then mail it to the case processing center
Mistakes are always made , I apologize for the concern caused.

I guess am seriously reactive ha ha ha ha

its called anxiety 8)

The answers are pretty simple. No problems. Spend a few minutes writing some stuff up, upload, and done. Problem solved.

The CRA once tried to cause issue for me. Same solution, write a letter, and magic within a few days, released $4500 ....

Glad it's an easy fix.

WRT IMM5406 and friend, they took > 30 days to attach a file I sent via web form...

Hello there again. I have just received an email in french (why in french??? yes i am in Quebec but I chose English for correspondence and it has always been in English, until now) they are asking me to fill out IMM5669 for my military service details. Well, it was submitted already. Why again? Underneath there was another note saying I should send a PCC from the country where I lived the majority of my adult life. Well, guess what, it was also submitted. However, it also says that I should disregard that request If I had already submitted. I have a copy of the original, shall I send it? Would they accept it? Shall I disregard the request since I it was submitted already? I don`t wanna take a day off from work just to go to Ottawa to my homeland embassy to get the certificate again. Any recommendation?

Jes*s... I knew something was up...
Yeah, don't stress about CIC. There is better things in this world to stress about. Usually with the government there is some easy solution.

So, usually Embassies / Consulates allow you to mail the requests in. But that aside, If oyu submitted it, and you have not been back to your home country since it was created, you can just submit a copy with a letter stating such. If you submitted an IMM5669 and you are certain it was correct and complete, then resubmit it with a note also stating such. Make sure your email is in english, and state that they sent the wrong correspondence.

Profiler - I am unsure the reason for your response...you will recall you did in fact respond to my query in a similar manner - my post was simply stating just what I did - nothing more nothing less....directed at no one...

The reality is just as I said - it is a stressful process and many turn to the forum for guidance and support and so will post in anxcious moments and may have other things going on in their lives...

Also - as an immigrant myself from Jamaica - having undergone the FSW process and sponsored my parents - sponsorship of my spouse is a whole other ball game and what you glean from the experience of others on a forum is far more than Google at times will do for you.

Afghanistan is the first country alphabetically. Clearly someone screwed up in selecting it from the drop-down menu. The other problem is that maybe they meant to select a different country and now they are waiting for a PCC from that country even after you clear up this mistake.

ONLY 50??? Young man, this is not a 20/20 match...this is a Test Series and you have a long way more to go. ;)
