myCIC will tell you. Just log in and look at your case. In our case, my wife got an email to tell her there was an update -- like magic, the Medicals went from not submitted to Passed.

But we have a consultant , so for registering for My cic will we have to remove the representative from our file?

Aww shucks. The truth is, I want to be able to educate my wife as to what to expect, and when things might be required. I don't really do anymore than everyone else.

The medicals have a 1 year shelf-life. Once that year is up, they either have to request you redo them, do a partial (usually chest x-ray), or extend. If you are in the SIR, they will also try to process your case with Medicals and with Passport expiration dates in mind. For those watching, ours were done October 30 2015, and submitted with our application.

Yes, probably. You can try ECAS, and clck the link for the Permanent Resident Application. You should see something like: Medical results have been received.

I just wanted to confirm one thing, I am the sponsor and I am working almost full time somewhere as well as part time at a Bank , i am planning to quit the bank job as it is getting very hectic for me, so do you think , we will have to update our file in that case , also will that have any negative impact on the file.?

It'll be fine. You should advise them that you will be resigning. Is it just you and your spouse? If so, there is no impact with respect to your application. If you have children you are sponsoring as well, they may re-evaluate to make sure you are above LICO.

Yeah, that way you don't have to wait on the phone. And it's really not super important. Just a quick note to advise them that one of the positions you held you will be resigning from.

We paid 1115 too at the time we put our application in. But if you look at the notes from the sponsorship application, it appears to be a 75$ overpay. As to the correct amount, I can only guess:
75$ Sponsor
475$ for PA
490$ for RPRF
75$ for Principal applicant, if under 19 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild)

You don't need the last $75 there because the PA is your spouse. I think it is $150 extra per family member (children for example) of the PA.
$1040 is the total amount for sponsoring just your spouse, including RPRF. If you paid $1115, there is your $75 overpay.

I was trying to sort out what that was on the pay the fees page... For us, we did overpay 75$ but it wasn't an extra dependant. In this app it's just my wife and I and her RPRF.

Yep, that's weird. Difficult to arrive at a sum of $1115 with the options available on there now.

Thanks Profiler - 2 more questions:
- what is the correct fee for a spouse and 1 minor? I initially somehow paid $1,115
- OWP application has a question : "have you previously applied to enter or remain in canada?" are they looking for all entries ever?
my wife is australian citizen with US green card so they never stamp her passport on canadian border
