Spousal sponsership with Open work permit

Hi Everyone,

I am going to marry to my partner from India however, we are not sure about the process of applying the sponsorship with open work permit.
My questions is- a) We are going to marry in Canada. If we plan to apply inland application how soon can my partner will be able to get the Open Work Permit. What is the usual timeframe for this?
b) Should we apply outland(from India)? Is this fast and easy way?

You cannot apply for a work permit at all with an outland application. For an inland application, you can apply for an OWP at the same time as you send in your spousal sponsorship papers. OWP's will normally take 3 - 4 months.

Has you wife received a TRV? That is usually the deciding factor whether you can apply inland. Many are refused.
