Sponsorship to my newborn baby

My wife and I are both PR but our child about 1 year old are not born within Canada, Since he still need a few vaccination till 1.5 yr, I wanna know if it is necessary to apply sponsorship for ny child within Canada?

Since you and your wife are both PR, you will need to sponsor your kid from within Canada.

1 parent would need to return to Canada to submit the PR app, and must reside in Canada for the duration of application processing. They can leave for short/temporary vacations only.

During processing the other parent and child can stay in home country, or come to Canada (only if child can enter as a visitor).
