Hi everyone,
This is my first time in this forum. I have been watching a lot of you guys posts. It's very helpful. My situation is that I have applied for family sponsorship as my husband is Canadian citizenship and I am an international student. I have been in Canada for more than 2 years. We got married more than a year and I have summited my app for PR since Sep 29, 2011 but I never get anything from Cic yet and even the ecas never changed. My status is always " application received" until now. I am so frustrated. Can someone tell me sth about that? Is it normal or not?
Thank you for your time.

Did you apply outland (application to Mississauga and then to the visa office abroad) or inland (application to Vegreville)?

If outland, yes it is very unusual. If inland, you're just reaching the 11 month mark, which is when they start processing inland applications.

Thank you for your answer. I applied inland. Do you think how long I will receive sth from CiC? I want to do sth but I can't.

Nobody can tell you exactly when you will receive something from CIC, but you can use their published information as a guideline - and right now they say they take 11 months to process an inland application for the first step. Thus, normally you would expect to receive some word in the next month.
