I would like to ask whether IRCC ever calls the sponsor on the mobile phone number provided. Likewise, do they ever call the applicant?

The times I've heard of it happening have been very random, it's not an overly common thing

I will file my application right after my return to Canada. However my phone nr expired. The sponsored person doesnt have a phone number either. So I guess its advisable to purchase phone deals first and then apply.

Yes, they may call. It's random and not predictable, and only happens in out of the ordinary situations. Even with that being the case, I would not advise submitting your application without a working phone number.

Thanks. My partner's PCC from the UK is valid until end of June. Is it ok if I submit it along with my sponsorship app before this date? Would even 15th of June be in time?
