Sponsoring Thai wife - not sure which documents to send

Hello.

We just filled out the application forms, but I am not sure if there are any additional documents that need to be sent right away or if this is asked later on (marriage cert, passport copies, etc)

When I choose Thailand from a drop down menu there is a message "no additional documents required", so I am a bit confused.

Application forms for what? That makes all the difference.

Assuming out of Canada spousal sponsorship, have you seen the document checklist? That will tell you what documents you need.

My question is do I need to send any documents with the first application or will they ask for this later on?

That's not the Document Checklist. Search the IRCC site for the IMM 5533 (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides.html) and probably more importantly for you the application guide IMM 5525 https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5525-basic-guide-sponsor-your-spouse-partner-child.html

May I ask another question.

We will be both applying from Thailand, but if decide to go to Canada first will there be any issues with the application?
